This place was easily one of our favorite finds during our two weeks in Japan. We stayed in Kyoto for four days and came here every single morning, that says a lot! The lattes were honestly some of the best we had during our entire trip. Not only were they delicious and perfectly balanced, but they were also true latte art masterpieces, with different creative designs each time that made the experience even more special. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we appreciated that they open early every morning, making it the perfect start to our day. The pastries and breakfast items were excellent too. The banana chocolate croissant was absolutely delicious, and we also loved the egg toast and the variety of muffins. If you are in Kyoto and looking for amazing coffee, beautiful latte art, tasty pastries, and warm hospitality, Astarte is a place you should not miss. We came and had the banana/ chocolate muffin, lemon/white chocolate muffin, and the diamond croissant. They were all so delicious and our coffees were good also. Definitely recommend trying the croissant! Meal type: Brunch Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
