Seeing Batcolumn requires time and efforts, so if you feel hungry after, visit this restaurant for a good meal. French and Italian cuisines are provided at Avec. Many people visit this place to taste perfectly cooked roasted chorizo, bacon and fried salmon. If hungry, come here for tasty gelato, affogato and blueberry yogurt. It's nice to order delicious Spanish wine, belgian beer or Sangria. This spot will offer you great espresso, lemonade or tea.

Select between indoor and outdoor seating. A number of visitors point out that the staff is accommodating here. This restaurant is remarkable for its fabulous service. From the guests' viewpoint, the decor looks divine here. Avec got the Bib Gourmand award for tasty meals at moderate prices.

Been on a veggie kick recently; this place was amazing for that: flavor packed and lots of no meat options.
Top 10 best food in the city.
My only regret is that we have waited that long with dining in Avec!! We knew about this place for years but somehow we always put it on the `next time list`. I think that idea of communal seating and place being on a small side kept us a little bit off site but we were completely mistaken. Avec is one of the restaurant run by chef Paul Kahan that also run Blackbird (which we are very familiar with), and is next to Avec. We got no reservation on Saturday (around 7pm) but wait time of 25 minutes for 2 people was very acceptable. The staff is one of the nicest people I have encountered so far, you can order drinks while waiting. I saw one couple bringing the wine so there may be a corkage fee and BYOW but I am not sure. Selection of wine is very wide and they still have  suitable prices comparing to other restaurants. The food was amazing, so much flavor and comforting: Werp Farm Greens: very simple and yet so delicious. Lavender almonds and Asian Pear was a perfect compliment for greens. Charred Beet Salad--excellent mix of sweet and savory. Crisp lentils were brilliant in this dish. Whole Fish (Sea Bream on the board that week MP of $42): This may sound as a bold statement but this was undoubtedly one of the best fish we had and as a seafood passionate we eat a lot of fish. Perfectly cooked and flavored,  almond Harrisa went very well with this fish and pickled cucumbers and greens gave that extra zesty kick to the whole thing. Definitely something I could repeat over and over and very shareable. We made a promise to come back soon :)
