I just discovered this place after living here 4 1/2 years and now have a new favorite restaurant in Springfield. What a gem. The food, the ambiance, and the servers are all top-notch. My friend, who is gluten-free and vegetarian, had so many choices that it was hard for her to decide. I lived in Atlanta for over 50 years and there isn't a restaurant there that I can think of that I like better than the Aviary. I've been twice in six days and have plans to go again in May. Well done!

Aviary Cafe has been our favorite restaurant for years, and usually have great food and service. 1/13 we waited 30 minutes for a table, 20 minutes at least before our order was taken, also seated next to the door in freezing temperatures. We finally convinced our parents to join us on this day as we were celebrating a birthday. They had never been. Unfortunately they won’t be back. Our food did not come out promptly and was cold. We had ordered 3 crepes and the classic breakfast, also cold. Our server also mentioned the french onion soup was being warmed up? Is it not fresh? For the cost and wait, not the experience we hoped for.

Was initially told it would 40 min wait, turned into another 30 min wait. The food may be good, but the wait is ridiculous. This problem needs to be addressed.
