The Gator Po Boy ($18) was tasty and had a great texture, but needed more pieces of alligator. The French Onion Soup (included with sandwich) was verrrry salty and a good texture. The Blue Crab Havarti Melt ($18) was a really delicious crab cake on a sandwich with sweet bread, I recommend this one. Some pieces of the bread were a little burnt though. The Potato Gruyére Soup (included with sandwich) had a nice cheese flavor but needed a touch of salt in my opinion. The Coconut Cream Mousseline ($8) crème brûlée top had a particularly strong alcohol taste(?) It tasted a bit like banana, but was actually a nice mix of pistachio, coconut and cranberry,,, super interesting and yummy, definitely try this one. The upstairs also had a Chappell Roan mural!! Went for a late lunch so it was not so crowded but busy. Let me just say service was perfection. Appreciate Kensey as our host server he was awesome. Highly recommend the Blue Crab Beignets. Oh my word they were amazing. Food was hot and inviting when served and we found ourselves feeling comfortable not rushed during our meal. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

La Roux Bistro is such an incredible restaurant! The food is unlike anywhere else in Springfield. It is such a wonderful addition to Commercial Street. La Roux is in a beautifully restored historic building, where it honors New Orleans laid back spirit and cocktail culture. The perfect place for an upscale evening out without being pretentious.
