We had a wonderful lunch at Bigup Cafe near Kinkaku-ji Temple. Our family of four tried a variety of dishes – Omelette with rice and Japanese sauce, Keema Curry (which was just the right level of spice for my taste), and Spaghetti with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese for our child who doesn’t eat spicy food. Everything was delicious! We also enjoyed some cold sake and a couple of beers, which were perfect on a hot day, and the kids were happy finishing off with ice cream. The service was just as good as the food – friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we’d definitely recommend stopping by if you’re visiting Kinkaku-ji.
