Third time eating at Badgers Den and each time trying something new. Forgot to take photos the first time but I highly recommend the cheesy sausage! If I wasn’t so curious about the other food items on the menu that would be my go to. I’ve also had the poutine and the piggyback burger. Portion sizes are large I couldn’t finish it all. But I really enjoyed trying. My meal cost less than a burger and fries from a local fast food place with significantly higher quality. The only thing I had issue with is the poutine uses shredded cheese not curds so technically not poutine but the homemade gravy he uses tastes like heaven so all is forgiven. I’d order it again! However the chili fries are calling my name as well. So it’s a toss up. Heading back to try the Cubano (can’t wait) next. Highly recommend giving the BD a shot. Talk to the owner, super friendly and will tell you how he makes everything. He even gave us samples of some of the other proteins (tonight’s roast beef sandwich - the beef melted in my mouth!). Supporting local is important, so is supporting great people and this truck is a real Simcoe gem! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Tried a double cheeseburger. Texture and taste didn't sit right with me. Went back asked if the burgers was pre cooked cause the taste was off. He said yes. I didn't like it at all. He did give me my money back. The fries were delicious! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Made a trip down to the Badger's Den in Simcoe on the weekend after hearing so many good things. We got a couple hot dogs and a poutine. The hot dogs were luke warm, but the bun was delicious. We were disappointed to find that the poutine used shredded cheese and not curds - I always feel like this should be advertised, as traditional poutine comes with cheese curds. The gravy was also rather bland. The condiments for the burgers were left baking in the sun, they were in a vessel that holds ice, but no ice to be found. The salt is in a mason jar with a rusty lid full of holes...not very food safe. Figured we try it out since we heard good things, however we won't be returning.
