We stumbled onto this place whilst waiting for another bar to open and it honestly made the whole night, great experience and atmosphere sitting at the bar, we got 2 drinks to start, a sweet and fruity frozen cocktail made with liquid nitrogen that they made right in front of you. The other as rum based drink made with their own homebrewed popcorn rum and mixed with caramel and popcorn syrup, never had a drink like it and it was amazing, also suprising cheap for the experience. 10/10. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000

We are in Kyoto for two nights and we ended both our nights here enjoying the delicious drinks, service, and charm of this place. Louis our bartender paid careful attention to us and made sure we were taken care of and recommended fantastic experiences and shrines to visit while we’re here. Louis was exceptional but the entire staff was incredible and so welcoming. The next time we come to Kyoto we are excited to continue the tradition of ending our nights at The Bar Alchemist!
