You can get some fresh air outside Barcaccia

Barcaccia is pretty near Fondazione Giorgio de Chirico. Many people come to try nicely cooked gnocchi, lobsters and bacon. At this bar, clients can have good wine. Guests don't highly appreciate croissants and fresh juices at Barcaccia.

I only give this beautiful little bar/coffee shop four stars instead of five because it is so expensive! But they have a lovely assortment of pastries, and the coffee is quite good. And it’s proximity to the Spanish steps is perfect and of course this is why it is so expensive. But it is absolutely the most expensive coffee I’ve had at a bar, instead of a table, in all of Rome. €4.50 a cappuccino! Two blocks over and two blocks down on Via della Croce is another lovely pastry bar, d’Angelo, where a cappuccino is €1.50, and also a lovely assortment of pastries. If you want a view of the bustling Spanish steps, the table outside at Barcaccia is your spot. But beware, Service at the table will be at LEAST 20% (True of any table service in Rome ) more than you’ll pay at the bar inside. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Let me first tell you that I used to be a waitress so I have both insights (as a customer and as a waitress) into how a good service should be, how a waiter should and should not address you.
Having sai that, we headed there with high hopes but we have had the worst experience. Very rude and impolite waitress and poor service.
Needless to say, I never got back there. It amazes me how such an uneducated guy was given a job in customer service. I don't recommend this place at all.
