Stayed for a night, staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. Bar food -excellent, a home made pie and a cottage pie (also home made) was ordered which was delicious and tasty. The room looked tired and needs updating, the bed was comfy but the bathroom needs repairs doing to it. (Shower handle was broken so had to hold the shower head whilst showering).

On the last night of a canal boat trip, we stopped at the Barley Mow on recommendation of our boat hire company. The manager (Richard?) was everything you want in a pub manager - down to earth, friendly, welcoming and attentive. The food was brilliant - truly one of the best cottage pies I have had (the other food was great too!). Portion sizes were excellent, prices were extremely fair. I would definitely return if I'm passing again.
