Extremely welcome and hospitable place along with delicious food. Donny and his colleagues are amazing and if I ever come back to Rome, I will dine there for sure and recommend it. It the heart of tourist district but NOT a tourist trap! 11 out of 10. Grazie Mille! Rating: ½ Review:. Ordered the truffle pasta, fried calamari, and Margherita pizza at Il Barroccio Roma. The Margherita pizza was the star — simple, fresh, perfectly cooked. The fried calamari were also excellent: crispy, light, not greasy. Sadly, the truffle pasta was a letdown — way too heavy and overly creamy for my taste. It felt rich in a cloying way, not pleasant. Also, prices are on the high side for what you get. That said, the pizza and calamari alone make it worth a visit. Just skip the pasta if you don't like super heavy cream. Solid 4.5 stars. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €40–50

Wonderful restaurant! Highly recommend! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The wait staff was courteous, attentive, and went above and beyond to deliver the most amazing service. Last month, my mom and I went here on our last night in Roma. We had the most memorable dining experience of our 2 week holiday in Italy. I had the penne al salmone, which was incredible! Our waiter was Giovanni and he made us feel like the most special, important people in the restaurant. He was so sweet, helpful, and kind. He also shared his own special limoncello with us. It was the perfect end to our holiday. After dinner, Giovanni helped us get a taxi back to our hotel. I really wish I had known about this place earlier. Thank you, Giovanni! We’re sorry we weren’t able to take you up on your offer for fresh baked croissants the next day. We’ll be sure to visit again on our next trip to Roma. You’re wonderful!
