Nicely cooked chicken pies, swiss burgers and buffalo chicken sandwiches have a pleasant taste. Try good biscuits, cherry pie and banana pies at this bar. Come here and have delicious beer, bourbon or wine. Beard & Belly has great coffee among its drinks.
This place with takeout dishes is good for those visitors who like to have dinner in a hurry. From the guests' viewpoint, prices are fair. The peaceful atmosphere has been highlighed by the guests. After a late night in Rogers Park, we trekked down Broadway to Beard & Belly, still open for a nightcap. And we wound up having a huge meal, starting with two handmade pretzels fresh out of the oven - soft and warm, perfect with brown mustard - and an order of the spicy pickled eggs, not too spicy, with little chunks of bacon. One thing led to another and we wound up with the grilled cheese, a hearty double-decker of a sandwich, a chicken pot pie, teeming with veggies and chunks of chicken, and a little red beans & rice pie with a fresh, crisp garden salad. Definitely worth a visit to Beard & Belly - you will leave stuffed and happy, just like me!
