I recently visited Beef Smokehouse and overall had a good experience. There was a bit of a wait to get in, and it got very loud once the restaurant filled up, but that's to be expected from a popular spot. I ordered the brisket, chicken, and the pulled brisket sandwich. The brisket was nice and tender with a good smoky flavour, but for me, the chicken was the standout. It was incredibly juicy, packed with flavour, and even better value for money. The pulled brisket sandwich was enjoyable, but I felt it was missing a little complexity. A few pickled garnishes or something with a bit of acidity would have helped balance the richness and taken the sandwich to the next level. To finish, I tried the banana pudding. It was okay, but it didn't really stand out compared to the rest of the meal. Overall, the food quality is good and I'd recommend trying Beef Smokehouse, especially for the chicken. However, the prices are on the higher side, which makes it difficult to justify as a regular dining option. It's more of an occasional treat rather than somewhere I'd visit frequently. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

Great place for meat lovers and those who wanna enjoy very well marinated and slow cooked steak. The beef ribs and briskets are the topnotch, served at a very fair price. Don't miss their mac&cheese and banana pudding. It's definitely worth trying foods here and having a great experience. Price per person: £20–30

Halal. Great food, attentive staff, and a pleasant atmosphere. Walk-ins only, as you cannot pre-book. Once seated, you scan a table QR code to view the menu and pay. Note: the service can be prone to mistakes, so keep track of your order to ensure everyone receives the correct items and that everything actually arrives. Our server got parts of the order wrong three times. The host was on hand to help, though there was a miscommunication at one point. I enquired whether the 450g beef ribs included the bone to gauge the portion size, but he did not understand and kept repeating that the weight varies depending on the bone. Consequently, I ordered two. One would have been plenty, as a portion of each was left over. If ordering brisket as a main, one portion of ribs could feed 3-4 people. If ribs are the main, it would feed 1-2. The food was excellent: - 100g Brisket: Great peppercorn crust, perfectly cooked, soft, and melt-in-the-mouth tender. It was so well-seasoned it did not require sauce. Highly recommend. - 450g Beef Ribs with BBQ Glaze: Rich, sweet, and highly flavourful. The fat made it moist, palatable, and very moreish. However, an extra side or more pickled vegetables would help cut through the sweetness. - Tallow House Fries: Curved, skin-on fries. Soft and well-cooked. - Banana Pudding: Light and creamy with a soft biscuit base and a strong, prominent banana flavour throughout. Despite the service hiccups, the quality of the food was top class. Would return. Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5 Dietary restrictions: Halal. No nuts or sesame in kitchen.
