My wife and I visited Beertown - Waterloo today Thu May 21 2026 and was really disappointed by the lack of quality control in both the drinks and the food. I ordered a margarita, and it was served with a severely oxidized, muddy brown dehydrated lime wheel. It looked completely unappealing and ruined the aesthetic of the drink—a quality cocktail shouldn't come with a garnish that looks like it's been sitting at the bottom of a bag for months. To make matters worse, the Baja fish taco was incredibly lazy in its presentation. The green onion was thrown on completely whole without being sliced, and the cilantro was just unchopped, woody sprigs tossed on top. A proper taco should have finely prepped garnishes so you get a balanced bite, rather than forcing the guest to disassemble and fix their own food. For the prices here, the attention to detail is seriously lacking. We had to wait 45 minutes for the fish tacos. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$30–40 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
