Before and After Brewing

This is true; we do not give free samples. Indeed, and all breweries do have 'their own version', and honestly, a lot of the times they are sub par: which is probably why everyone had to do so much sampling over the history of this whole craft beer thing, thusly establishing the expectation that everyone gets free samples. Although we do understand the initial impulse to need to try before buying, our policy has always been no samples (for so many reasons that go beyond this little back and forth). We brew to style and all beers would hold up to its relative style, without objective flaw, as would be judged according to BJCP guidelines. So yeah, in short, the beers we brew do indeed match the style. This is the bridge of trust we hope to build, so that when you come in, as you say you have, and you liked our beers, the need to sample them goes away and you can order it knowing we worked hard and accurately on them Re: umbrellas. This description of events is more or less true, but like the still picture you posted, it necessitates context. One would hope any reader out there could tell that its kinda hard to show how windy it is NOT by posting a photo of closed umbrellas, but, well, here we are. Indeed, all of the umbrellas were down because it has been excessively and UNPREDICTABLY windy all day, hell all spring here in Missouri. And it has been our experience that wind is bad for umbrellas, as was mentioned, (but disregarded, apparently). Sometimes its bad enough that those little arms will snap, so it wasn't a customer that physically snapped an umbrella, it was wind. Thus, the umbrellas were down, for what we feel like are pretty good reasons. Since our rudeness seems to be the crux of this whole thing, perhaps it should be explained from our point of view. All of the umbrellas were down when you sat down, so you took it upon yourself to open it (and not fully, we'll add, because we were literally watching the thing popping up and down with the wind fluctuations because the catch wasn't engaged). Would not the polite/non-rude thing to do before handling closed equipment be to ask the staff if there was any reason why the umbrellas were closed, sir? Or is it understood that ALL customers can handle a business's things because they are the competent ones, and the staff aren't?
