Most probably one of the best dining experiences we had to date. While everything stands out, I want to particularly applaud the service team for a level of attention we have hardly ever witnessed on this level before. One of the rare cases where a perfect balance between soft and high touch service really excels. Finally on the food and atmosphere: I have not tried the previous menus and was even looking forward to the previous concept but I have to admit, that the new Antiqua Cucina Nova really blew us away. Excellent presentation and very refined as well as surprisingly „light“ / not too heavy for most of the courses, which we completely adore! Definitely heading straight towards regaining their star(s), if it would be up to us. The wine paring options are excellent and a mastery as well. It is seldom that you get such a great curated journey to sample through the wines of the region or master pieces of Italy overall, which perfectly rounds up the Antiqua Cucina concept for us. The setting in the wonderful Caruso hotel rounds it all perfectly up. Absolutely incredible dining experience at this restaurant. This was the best substituted vegetarian tasting menu I’ve ever had. And my husband loved the seafood and meat dishes in his tasting menu just as much. Very creative yet satisfying food. Our wait-staff, Salvatore was so knowledgeable and incredible to talk to about the details of the food and what grows in the region. He was amazing! We ended the night super relaxed. Truly an unforgettable dinner at Il Pantaleone. We opted for the six course tasting menu and thoroughly enjoyed every dish. The stand out for me was their bridge between savory and sweet - a unique mozzarella caprese with vanilla pepper! Special thank you to the servers, especially Francesco for his exceptional service. If you’re in ravello and considering splurging for a dinner, choose this place. Definitely deserves a Michelin star.
