Gore Park is a great attraction for tourists who come to eat at this bar after long walks. Among other International cuisune places to visit, Berkeley North can be one of the greatest. Order tasty mushrooms, shrimp dumplings and tuna. You can share good blueberry cheesecakes, coffee ice cream and almond cakes with your friends and spend a nice time here.
The wine list is extensive, every visitor can find something that suits their taste. Great French coffee, coffee with cream or espresso are among the most often ordered drinks at this place. The competent staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place great. Enjoyable service is something that guests highlight in their reviews. You will appreciate the spectacular decor and pretty atmosphere of this spot. This bar won the Bib Gourmand award for tasty meals at moderate prices.

We visited the restaurant in December 2024 after hearing some great things from friends and family (and of course, seeing it on the Bib Gourmand list). In my opinion, this restaurant is way overhyped and there are much better places to dine in Hamilton. Our fried chicken main was scorched and dry, the eggplant starter was basically a plate of over-fried dough balls, the steak was incredibly tough, and worst of all were the gnocchi which were barely edible. I’m not sure if it was just an off night or something more systemic, but I’d steer clear nonetheless. Service: Dine in Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

The service at Berkeley North is excellent. Great location on King William Street in the downtown core. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant. However, the food was mediocre. Some menu items were OK, but a couple of the items we ordered we did not enjoy at all. The flavours did not go well together, in our opinion. They were nice enough to take the items we didn't like off of our bill without us asking. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
