Very nice restaurant and staff great. Had checked menu before booking but by 19:30, the 2 meals that really appealed had sold out. Ended up having the burger, which was really good, just not what I'd been looking forward to.

No idea about the rooms but the food is exceptional. Fantastic value, perfectly proportioned proportions, tasty delicious and definitely worth trying. The atmosphere was relaxed and the little touches like the grapes and strawberries growing in the courtyard turn it from a lovely place to eat into a real experience. There was obviously a lot of love and care taken by the management when it comes to creating this place, it's menu and choice of chefs

Lovely meal at The Bird in Hand last night. Really nice to find somewhere serving proper, traditional pub food that’s cooked to a high standard and at a reasonable price. We also had starters from the bar snacks menu, which were delicious. Great food, good value and a lovely atmosphere — we’ll definitely be back!
