Lack of choice on the menu only 1 page to choose from. Dressed crab starter was 1 dessert spoonful of meat. Lamb pie was far too salty and too big. Asparagus and kale far too undercooked. Carrots would have been lovely but would have cost £5-75 extra. Very disappointing. Won’t be going back or recommending.

We visited for dinner whilst visiting friends who live in Wymondham. Three of us had the Bird in Hand Pie (Chicken), seasonal vegetables, mash and rich gravy and I have to say, it was one of the best pie’s I’ve ever eaten. It was packed full of filling and the pastry was beautiful. Our other friend had Pan Roasted Chicken Supreme, confit drumstick, potato fondant, Romesco Sauce, parsley crisps, chilli oil which he thoroughly enjoyed. Dessert was crumble which again, was incredibly good. Happy to recommend. Pity we don’t live closer! Service: 5

Hot day, needed a pub garden near Norwich, so we arrived (as first timers) at the B-I-H for an outdoor lunch. The staff were fantastic and absolutely on it. Nice menu, lovely food, and a warm and helpful welcome. Recommended! Service: 5
