We arrived at a little after 4:30 p.m. on Sunday when closing time is 5:00 p.m. and informed "we won't be having any more tastings today." If that is the case then they should indicate their closing is 4:30 or indicate a final tasting time. I understand people need to close-up shop, but we were sensitive to the closing time. (This was part of a weekend trip my wife and I had to get some R&R, and some of the same issues kept coming up. I wouldn't even have left a review if I wasn't left with the impression that the person working was just somewhat rude. "We're not going to have any more tastings today."- like you'd talk to a five year-old. He made it seem like we were imposing on him- even to have to explain he was closing shop. A better way would have been, "I'm terribly sorry, but I need to close shop so I can't host any more tastings today." When you're in the tourist business manners matter.

We love going here, staff is friendly and helpful to tell us things to do in the area and had a good selection of drinks

The owner and her son were very friendly and very informative about the available wines. They offer a beer tasting as well. Blue Ridge Cellars is located in a neat area with a lot of stores, shops and restaurants within walking distance.
