One of three caffe neros in exeter city centre. On the main shopping street which can only be used by buses and motorbikes so can only really be accessed on foot. There is a numbet of paid city centre car parks but these are all a number of mimutes away. This is a drop in opportunity if you are already shopping in exeter and want a coffee while walking by. Went in today with my wife for late lunch. We previously popped in a couple of weeks ago and noticed/mentioned in a previous review that the food cabinet was virtually empty and not restocked. Very pleased to see that even on a busy Saturday at 4pm the cabinet was fully stocked of everything. Big guy working there was busy clearing and cleaning tables whenever he wasn’t serving, so place was kept very clean. Lovely coffee, much better than Costa and Starbucks by a mile. This branch, is in our opinion, (who visit coffee shops literally every day in Torquay, Newton Abbot, Teignmouth and Exeter) NOW the very best! The young girl aged 18/19 or so, serving coffee was also very cheerful, friendly and efficient, and should also be mentioned along with the big guy. Well done to the management and team at Cafe Nero for fixing the couple of easy improvements from a couple of weeks ago. Fantastic transformation. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The loo is out of order more often than it is working. The only member of staff who really cared has thrown in the towel and gone to a new cafe that does. The place is plagued by irresponsible dog owners who let their dogs sit on the seats and crap in the corner by the window and piss up the table legs. The whole place desperately needs a revamp and deep clean. Meal type: Other Price per person: £1–10 Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
