Officiating a wedding tomorrow and arrived for rehearsal. The venue is stunning. The staff that I talked too were fantastic.

I got married at Cameron Estate Inn in October 2023. I hesitated writing a review because Cameron Estate Inn did compensate me for some of my issues (although it wasn’t easy). However, after reading recent reviews from others who also had a negative experience, I do feel I need to share mine as well so others can make an educated decision before booking this venue for their wedding. First let me start with the good, the venue is beautiful and everyone raved about how good the food was. I did expect there to be some issues on my wedding day. However, I never expected there to be many as there were. I’ll sum up the bad in a few words: disorganized, unwelcoming, and understaffed. For starters, if considering this venue for your wedding DO NOT book the Inn. They have two of the rooms open because they’re the nicest. The rooms not located in the inn itself are in very poor condition. Room 15 smelled like mildew and didn’t have electricity when my friend arrived. My guests told me anytime they went to the front desk that they felt like they were inconveniencing the staff. Numerous people told me after the wedding how unclean their rooms were. Even down to the towels in the room are poor quality, especially for how much they charge for those rooms. The Sleep Inn & Suites 20 minutes away have nicer rooms and are less money. They advertise themselves as a bed and breakfast, but the quality of service just isn’t there. I brought these issues up to Cathi after my wedding asking for some sort of compensation to be provided to my guests. After several phone calls, she told me nothing could be done because the guests should’ve came forward that day about these issues. Having a clean room with electricity should be basic things you expect when staying at a hotel or B&B. Also I would expect a business who knows they’re accommodating that many people in a weekend to make sure all of the rooms are ready. From what I observed it appears they’re understaffed which is the main cause of the issues. The banquet manager told one of my guests worked 18 hours the day of my wedding. I was told my day of coordinator would go over my decoration set up at my decor drop off. She didn’t ask me any questions. I had all of my totes labeled with where my decorations needed to go. She never put my signature drink sign out at cocktail hour. The candles and my welcome sign that were outside during my ceremony were never brought inside for my reception like they said. During my reception I was wondering why the lights were still on and I was told that I had to instruct the staff to dim the lights. Our bartender was absolutely miserable and was telling guests he was out of stuff. We paid for the premium bar and they were serving bankers. I went to the bar once the entire night to get a drink. I ordered a Tito’s and club. You the bartender made me feel like I was the biggest inconvenience. Not only did he serve me bottom shelf liquor instead of Tito’s, but he served me in a KIDDIE CUP. A few days later people were sending me pictures and they also had kiddie cups. How embarrassing knowing that will be in my wedding photos forever. If I was to do it all over again I would have never booked Cameron Estate. Yes the venue is beautiful, but not worth all the headaches. You may pay more at another venue, but it’s worth it knowing that your special day is in good hands. Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 2

Took my wife for 35th anniversary because of the great ratings and lovely atmosphere... HA ! unbelievably pathetic service , my wife ordered filet rare but came well done, I ordered duck and wished I had taken a picture... it probably had been cooked yesterday and kept in the oven till serving. Wedding party was so noisy in the next room we couldn't even hear each other - nice ambiance huh ! Was in such a hurry to get out I just paid the outrageous bill without complaining .
