I went to Carbone yesterday for lunch with friends and was extremely disappointed with the food. This was not my first time dining at the restaurant, I usually visit Carbone whenever I am in Riyadh and have always enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, yesterday the food was far below the standard we expected, particularly the New York strip steak, roasted potatoes and the branzino. We asked for the steak to be cooked medium, but everything about it was unpleasant, from the quality and taste to the smell. It was unappetizing that we could barely chew it and were unable to continue eating the dish. The roasted potatoes were undercooked from the inside, while the branzino arrived so cold. We were shocked by the overall quality of the food and left feeling extremely disappointed, especially given our positive previous experiences at Carbone. We had a really good experience at Carbone Riyadh. The atmosphere was cool, the staff were professional, and every dish was truly delicious. Highly recommended for special occasions or dinners.
