Casa Manco at Testaccio Market was, without a doubt, the highlight of my pizza adventures in Rome. I tried plenty of pizza during my time in the city, but this was easily my favorite. The pizza was absolutely incredible! Crisp yet pillowy dough, and each slice packed with flavor. Every bite felt thoughtfully made, from the quality of the ingredients to the balance of flavors. Fun fact: the owner gets his ingredients from the local markets. It’s the kind of pizza that makes you stop talking for a moment because you appreciate every layer! I got the zucchini flower and the fresh fig & prosciutto. Each were divine. By the way, you buy the pizza by the weight. What makes Casa Manco even better is the staff. The whole experience feels relaxed and when you have your first bite, you realize the chefs are professionals at giving you the best pizza experience. It’s a perfect place to grab a slice, wander around the market, and soak up the local atmosphere. If you’re in Rome and love pizza, do yourself a favor and seek out Casa Manco at Testaccio Market. I honestly think it was the best pizza I had in Rome, and it’s one of the meals I’ll remember most from my trip. Absolutely outstanding!
