Food at casadante
At Casadante, patrons can savor delectable Italian cuisine in a trendy and sophisticated setting. The establishment's interior design is sleek and modern with a touch of industrial flair. Guests can choose to dine indoors or enjoy the beautiful outdoor seating area, which overlooks the stunning Piazza Dante. The prices are fair for the quality of food and service, making it an excellent option for those on a budget.

The menu features a variety of dishes that will tantalize taste buds, such as the savory Fassona beef tartare and the succulent eggplant Parmigiana. For drinks, patrons can choose from an extensive selection of wines, cocktails, and soft drinks. The mojito may not be the best choice, but the spritz is worth a try.

Aside from the delicious cuisine and chic ambiance, Casadante also boasts friendly and attentive staff who provide exceptional service. This fine dining spot is perfect for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. It is conveniently located near the University and easily accessible by metro. Don't miss out on this gem in the heart of Rome!

I would not recommend this place to international tourists. Based on our experience, we genuinely felt unwelcome throughout our visit. When we first arrived at around 6:30pm, we were told that the kitchen did not open until 7:00pm, so we could not order food until then. We said that was completely fine. We were then told, “We don’t serve pasta here,” which was also perfectly fine with us. While these comments may sound harmless on their own, the tone in which they were delivered made it feel as though the staff member was trying to discourage us from staying. We ordered drinks and voiced that we were happy to wait until 7:00pm to order food. We then waited patiently for the kitchen to open. Unfortunately, our original server never returned to our table for the rest of our visit, even though we saw him serving other tables very attentively. At around 7:20pm, another staff member eventually came over and asked if we wanted to order food. We assumed he noticed this because we still had our menus in front of us and had been waiting patiently. Unfortunately, the food itself was below average for the price. The Caesar salad had very little dressing, the bacon was extremely salty, and the chicken was quite chewy. We had planned to order dessert, but nobody came back to check on us or ask whether we wanted anything else. Eventually, someone came over to clear our plates and simply said, “Goodnight, ladies.” We took that as a clear indication that it was time for us to leave. When we went to pay, the man handling the payment did not say a single word to us during the transaction. I don’t normally leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share our experience because we were made to feel very unwelcome throughout the evening. As young international tourists, it was disappointing to feel as though our presence was an inconvenience rather than something the restaurant was happy to accommodate. I hope other tourists, particularly young international visitors, are aware of our experience before choosing to dine here. No customer should leave a restaurant feeling unwanted. Shocking hostility and aggression toward international customers I have been a regular customer at Casadante for nearly a year, but a hostile interaction with a senior female server today means I will never return. Because the designated laptop area was full, I sat at a shared table with permission from another customer. When I went to order, this waitress sharply refused service, stating they only issue one bill per table. I immediately complied, told her I would move to an individual table, and began packing up my things. Apparently, complying wasn't enough. She followed me back to the room, aggressively telling me I couldn't sit there, and stood over me while the other customer tried to politely intervene on my behalf. As I quietly packed up, she began talking about me insultingly in Italian, deliberately using the language so I wouldn't fully understand, creating an incredibly tense and uncomfortable scene. Even as I calmly walked to the exit, she shadowed me all the way to the door, loudly talking about me in Italian in front of the room until I had to ask her to stop. I never once raised my voice and was entirely cooperative, yet I was treated like a nuisance. For a venue that caters heavily to international creatives, students, and remote workers, allowing a staff member to display this level of unprovoked hostility toward foreign residents is completely unacceptable. To target and publicly humiliate a customer who was actively trying to understand and comply with the rules is disgraceful. I will not be returning.
