We came here for a team dinner with my colleagues. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxing. We each ordered from the prix fixe menu. For my entrée, I had the salmon, which was delicious and well prepared. However, I was less impressed with the soup and dessert, particularly the chocolate mousse cake. I’m usually quite easy to please when it comes to sweets( because I love desserts). But I have to admit that the flavor of the chocolate mousse cake was weird and not to my liking. That said, taste is highly subjective, and this is simply my personal experience. Overall, I enjoyed the service, ambiance, and main course, even though some of the other dishes did not meet my expectations. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

INTRO: Came here for a family birthday dinner, later in the evening, and it immediately felt like one of those places meant for a proper night out rather than a quick bite. SERVICE: I want to be fair here. We came around 8pm, and the service felt like it was shifting toward closing mode. Nothing was outright bad or uncomfortable, but there was a subtle sense that things were winding down and we were not the main priority anymore. It did not ruin the experience, but it did take away from that relaxed, stay-awhile feeling you hope for during a celebration. AMBIANCE: Walking in, the first thing that stands out is the space. High ceilings and large glass windows give it a very open, almost grand feel. The modern design is clean and intentional, and there is a certain energy that makes you feel like you are dining somewhere in New York City rather than Kendall Square. It strikes that balance between upscale and comfortable without trying too hard. FOOD: I went with the Honey Glazed Rohan Duck, paired with rhubarb, spring onions, fava beans, buckwheat polenta, and orange jus. This dish delivered. The duck was tender, flavorful, and cooked exactly how I like it. I have always been a fan of duck, and this one held its own. What really stood out was how thoughtful each component on the plate felt. The sides were not just there for decoration, they could have easily stood on their own as full dishes. Everything felt intentional. I also tried a few bites from other plates around the table, including the burger, truffle fries, and cornmeal cakes. They were solid, but did not quite reach the same level for me. Not bad by any means, just not as memorable. IMPRESSIONS: Overall, this place leaves a strong impression. The ambiance carries a lot of weight, the duck absolutely delivered, and there is enough here to make me want to come back and explore more of the menu. Even though I can see why some might land closer to a three-star experience, I am comfortable giving it a four. It is a spot with real potential, especially if you catch it at the right time and pace of service. Yesterday I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Catalyst Restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff made us feel truly cared for. And the food absolutely incredible. Every dish was beautifully crafted and packed with flavor. You can feel the passion behind each plate, from the presentation to the last bite. It was one of those meals you don’t forget.
