Chardon Restaurant is pretty near Federal Reserve Bank. French cuisine is to the pleasure of all visitors here. You can try nicely cooked ribeye, beef cheeks and duck eggs. In accordance with the reviewers' opinions, waiters serve tasty crème brûlée, strawberry soup and brulee dessert here.

Came here on weekend for Houston Restaurant Week Pros: the interior is easily the standout feature. The bar is gorgeous; the entryway is lined with a cabinet of curiosities; and even the bathrooms are well adorned. While it may err towards being too busy, it’s still a pleasant environment. Service is also excellent - staff are friendly and attentive. Cons: The food tastes fresh but doesn’t have the same level of consistency / refinement as the service and environment. I do realize we came during the restaurant week special but the hash brown was inconsistently seasoned. I do wish parking wasn’t valet only ($10) or self parking ($16). There’s a large parking lot. Everything was phenomenal. We were 15m late due to street closings for a parade. The hostess was very understanding and still seated us and even offered me a shawl as I mentioned I might be cold. Our server, a tall man with an accent by the name of Reuben possibly, was warm and welcoming. We were here for HRW but my boyfriend ordered a Violette Hour and a deviled blue crab appetizer to start and both were delicious. From the HRW menu, I ordered the escargot, crispy skin gulf fish, and mille-feuille. The escargot was good but too big for my liking, fish was light and delectable, and the mille-feuille was perfect except I would ask to hold the chocolate syrup as it ended up being a bit too sweet for me. My partner ordered the chicken liver mousse, beef cheek bourguignon, and pistachio crème brûlée. The chicken liver was def our favorite appetizer between all three of them, he loved the beef cheek as it was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the crème brûlée was light and sweet which was perfect to his heavier main entree. The only negative was slightly slow service which really wasn’t all that bad; our server kept apologizing and gave a coffee on the house which was greatly appreciated. Even though service wasn’t that slow, they made us feel seen and respected. All in all, everything was great. We will definitely be back as we can only imagine how flavorful their main menu is if their HRW is this good and hope to have that server again! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: $60–70 Parking space: Difficult to find parking Parking: Park at the Thompson Hotel for paid valet. Valet service was terrible but no relation to Chardon.

Chardon Restaurant was absolutely perfect! Hosted a lovely dinner with clients better than Leo’s in river oaks last years event. Food was absolutely not filled with soy or overly salted, it was perfected. The staff was absolutely perfect! Thank you Ciera and ur crew for taking great care of me and all the guest! Made it my most memorable.I’m so sorry I didn’t get the name of the Latin server/ bartender that closed us out or the young man that helped me with my choice of mezcal but Ciera could tell you, please extend my appreciation & gratitude towards the staff, let Ciera know that her kindness was towards the host and I will never forget her.
