This wonderful steakhouse and oyster bar was out of this world. Kevin took care of me as a single diner. He made sure I wasn't waiting and the other staff checked in on me as well. Now about the food. I have to preface by saying I don't eat seafood except shrimp. So of course I had the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp are huge and served on a bed of ice like oysters would be keeping the cold and delicious. The cocktail sauce was punchy and sweet. Iceburg salad (no blue cheese cause I'm not a heathen) the candied bacon was an outstanding addition to the simple, yet delicious appetizer. I decided to get the special world tour steaks. 1 petite filet , one American wagyu, and a Japanese a5. Not only were they cook perfectly rare, rare, medium rare. But they were in the top 3 best steaks I have ever had. The American wagyu was my favorite. I cannot stress enough how well cooked and flavorful these steaks were. I cannot wait for another reason to travel to Springfield to have these again or whatever their current selection happens to be. As the food eater that I am I had to have the peach cobbler desert. It is not something you can just dive right into as it is fresh from the over and about a million degrees. Bring a friend to chat with while you wait for it to cool because you will not be disappointed. If it wasn't clear. If there is money in the wallet to spend, this is the resturaunt to go to. Also the lounge is more laid back and less formal. Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I love Char! Justin and his crew are stellar! I love the petite filet, it is always cooked to perfection. Sometimes I just stop in for appetizers because they are also amazing: Brussels sprouts and bacon covered dates are a few of my favorites! Don’t forget the yummy oysters! The drink selection is plentiful, Blue Moon on tap and fabulous cocktails! Definitely recommend Five out of Five Stars across the board! Keep up the good work! Go see Justin and the team at Char for a great atmosphere and even better food! As friendly as a warm hug! I felt like royalty as I settled in for my feast. Now, let’s get to the main event: the steak. I ordered the filet, and it was out of this world—juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection. And that baked potato? I’m pretty sure it was the largest fully loaded spud I’ve ever seen—seriously, it was a potato party on my plate! And don’t even get me started on the cremini mushrooms—divine doesn’t even begin to cover it! They were the perfect savory touch to my meal.
