I don’t know how you can possibly screw up a chicken quesadilla. Unless, of course, they’re getting the chicken from a can. Somehow dry and soggy at the same time is an impressive level of culinary confusion. Our server was actually great, which somehow made the food even more confusing. Drinks stayed full, service was quick, and the staff was friendly. Then the plates showed up like a practical joke from corporate. I didn’t expect Michelin star dining walking into Chili’s, but I also didn’t expect my fajitas to sound more appetizing than they tasted. 2 stars because the chips and salsa survived the evening with dignity. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

The good: Crispy crisper chicken tenders—the kids enjoyed them, and I had a few bites myself. Chips and salsa were surprisingly good. My husband said the burger tasted pretty good and he liked the guac they put on it. It just got a bit soggy after a while. Clint, our fun and attentive server; he made the experience. The not so good: Cajun chicken pasta- it tasted like jarred Alfredo sauce poured over pasta then microwaved with some seasonings sprinkled on. I can’t remember if I’ve had this before or if I’ve just made the copycat one at home, but whatever it was it was 10x better than what I just ate. Whatever animal looking fries my husband got- he said it seemed frozen and reheated and the cheese was melted then old and dry which was off putting. I used to really like Chili’s but I feel like it has gone downhill lately. Bummer. Meal type: Dinner Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Chicken Crispers
