I was super excited to finally try this since it’s been an internet fad I’ve been eyeing for a while. Located in Koreatown, Chocolate Chair is a small shop divided into a dessert parlour and a Korean skin and cosmetics store. The Dragon’s Breath Dessert ($5USD)/cup is more than enough to share since, I’m assuming, it’s mostly for the experience rather than the taste. The bite size fruity cereal pieces are soaked in liquid nitrogen causing the balls of cereal to absorb the liquid nitrogen and expel smoke as you bite down (hence, “dragon’s Breath”). The cereal pieces at the top of the cup are warmer than the ones at the bottom so they produce less smoke and are less cold on your teeth. Overall, it was a very novel experience and I’d recommend it to anyone who’s in the area but I doubt I’d go back since I’ve tried it. I only had a couple bites before my teeth got a little numb from the extremely cold cereal. Experience-wise & value was great, taste was mediocre as it was just fruity cereal.
We went looking for this place to try the Dragon balls. It is a nice experience to try it. You cannot finish an entire glass of these, but you could definitely share them. If you do not feel like doing this. Then there are also a good variety of ice creams of Rose milk and different things.
