I have had the pleasure of dining Upstairs at Amuse on several occasions.
It’s located in a lovely neighbourhood Parsons Green, surrounded by many fine establishments such as boutiques, gourmet food shops, salons, cafe’s, bars & pubs. It’s a quiet, classy neighbourhood with a great vibe, a nice change of scene from Central London.
Can’t say enough great things about the staff (both front & back of house), including Chef Tristan and his cuisine team for their impeccable attentiveness, warm reception, and friendliness.
As for the menu, you’ll see both classic/modern dishes selecting high-quality British ingredients, tastefully executed by Chef Tristan’s classic and contemporary approach, without a doubt featuring the best of British cuisine!
Thank you again for serving all the wonderful meals at Upstairs at Amuse!

My boyfriend and I came here for our 6 month anniversary, and although it has ranked poorly on Yelp, it has been ranked as a top Romantic place to eat in London (TimeOut) and has favourable popular reviews on other sites. We tend to cook for ourselves, so going out is always tainted with "I could make this". However, we couldn't say that about our time at Claude's Kitchen. They have such unique ingredients (parsley moss, quail, quark, courgette flowers, ie), that it's difficult to find in your local co-op. Moreover, they served us little tempters (Amuse Bouche) before each course to cleanse and awaken the pallet. May I please say, we were inordinately satisfied with our server, our meal, our desserts, our bill. They currently have a "three course for 22.50" deal if you book a table online, and we indulged in three of their refined cocktails. I cannot stress this more: if you want an exciting meal that you literally cannot get anywhere else, come here. The menu is changed every week to suit what the chef can find that's fresh and new. We enjoyed tuna and squid, and artichoke for our starters, lamb and courgette flowers for our mains, and a cinnamon tofu and ... a porridge berry quark tart for our desserts. The kitchen lies over the bar, where you can also order food, but it was a wonderfully intimate space upstairs. They took our coats for the coat closet upon entry to the restaurant (who does that nowadays?) and gave us a secluded corner. On a Friday night, the restaurant was lacking diners but the patrons were all downstairs enjoying a more relaxed environment. Come here. You won't regret it. We will be back next time we have reason to celebrate!
