I had a really good experience here! There were a lot of DoorDash orders being picked up, which made me feel like the food was going to be good, and it definitely was. We ordered the vegetable pakora, paneer makhani, and naan, and everything was delicious. I also tried the salty lassi, which surprised me because it was actually really good. Overall, the food was amazing, the staff was friendly, and I’d definitely come back. I seldom write about Indian Cuisine coz I kind of gave up on the craving for authentic Indian taste as it felt next to impossible trying various places while living in the DMV for more than 29 yrs. But today I felt compelled to share something unique about an experience I had. One of my American born friends, Bryan ordered some Butter Chicken & Goat Curry for us at his place. I would never try the Butter Chicken but somehow that night I did the daring & to my holy surprise my taste buds & mind couldn't align with the mesmerizing mellow of the 1st bite, coz it just revived my memories from my favorite place for Butter Chicken in India. After that I just pounced on it while making sure that I got the lion's share, LSS, everything about it was just so at par to put in simple words that I felt as if I hit the jackpot of Indian cuisine finally. The gravy was prepped traditionally & not just the usual loads of the tomato paste + tons of heavy cream, the chicken pieces were also fresh, juicy, perfectly sized cubes. I'm not the Tom Sietsema of the Washington Post, but I'm still a Desi Foodie guy who can very well judge & recognize something that can come as close as it could to the real Indian taste here in the US. Before writing here I just ordered the same entrees again last week & yes, they yet again were at par, so my sincere Thanks to Curry Place & wish they can open one day in DC too. Food: 5
