Had dinner tonight at Minar Indian Restaurant and it was fantastic. The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavour and everything came out quickly. Great selection of drinks and cocktails. Service was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant itself has a really nice atmosphere. Super convenient in Point Cook, and it’s always great supporting a locally owned business. Highly recommend, we’ll definitely be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I’m quietly building a lovely little Indian food trail across Melbourne’s west and northwest, and one thing keeps becoming clear: no two restaurants tell the same story, and that’s exactly why I keep exploring. Tonight’s table started strong with chicken tikka served sizzling hot, smoky and beautifully charred, alongside an aloo tikki chaat that delivered everything you want from the dish, warm potato patties, cooling yoghurt, chutneys, crunch and just enough sweetness to keep every bite interesting. The Saagwala Lamb Gosht brought something deeper and earthier, tender lamb wrapped in a thick spinach-based gravy that felt slow-cooked and full of flavour. Then came the restaurant’s signature dish, Paneer Malai Methi, and this may have quietly stolen the night. Rich, creamy, fragrant and beautifully balanced, with soft paneer that held its shape without disappearing into the sauce. And then a surprise favourite. I swapped my usual naan order for a Kashmiri naan stuffed with fruits and nuts, and honestly? Excellent decision. Sweet, soft, slightly indulgent and perfect for balancing the richer curries. Rice, raita, and yes, my usual Pepperjack Shiraz somewhere on the table (even if there wasn’t room for a proper photo this time. Big thanks to @minarcurryhouse and staff Shilpa and Sukhwinder for their warm hospitality, the kind that makes you want to stay for “just one more bite.” Another reminder that Melbourne’s Indian food scene keeps rewarding curiosity. #tripadvisorreviewer #googlelocalguide #googlelocalguides minarindianrestaurant thewanderingreviewer @thewanderingreviewer Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

What a fantastic review to read — thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed experience. We love how thoughtfully you described each dish, from the smoky chicken tikka and comforting Saagwala Lamb Gosht to the Paneer Malai Methi and Kashmiri naan that clearly made an impression on the night. It’s especially rewarding to hear our flavours became part of your ongoing food journey across Melbourne’s west and northwest. Shilpa and Sukhwinder will also be so happy to know their hospitality added to the experience. We truly appreciate your support and look forward to welcoming you back for more discoveries from our menu.
