I bought the vegetable rice and curry from the Curry Pot catering outlet inside the building at St. Peter’s Cricket Grounds. A few hours later, I developed severe food poisoning with vomiting, fever, and stomach pain that lasted for a full day. This was one of the worst food poisoning experiences I’ve had. I paid 550 LKR, which was a fair price, but unfortunately the meal made me very sick. They cater breakfast and lunch at the grounds, but based on my experience I won’t be eating there again. Please be careful. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: Rs 1–1,000 Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Great rice and curry place right in the middle of Colombo. The food was tasty, portions were satisfying, and the prices were reasonable. Definitely a place I can recommend to anyone looking for a good, value-for-money low key rice and curry meal in Colombo. Will visit again! Very disappointed with the service at Curry Pot Restaurant today. I found a fly in my kottu while eating, which is a serious hygiene issue. What made the experience worse was the owner’s response. Instead of apologizing, he said the fly “wasn’t cooked properly,” which felt very unprofessional and disrespectful. Food safety and customer service should be taken seriously. I hope the restaurant improves its cleanliness and the way they handle customer complaints. I have attached a photo as proof Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
