We visited Nuga Gama at Cinnamon Grand Colombo for their Sri Lankan New Year buffet, and the experience had some truly memorable highlights. A day before the event, one of the Sous Chefs kindly walked us through what to expect, which set a positive tone even before we arrived. On the day of the buffet, we received a warm welcome and were seated promptly. The breakfast spread was excellent, a wide variety of traditional options, all well executed. The kiribath was my personal favourite, especially paired with lunu miris, and the live tea service added a lovely cultural touch. The lunch buffet was equally impressive, offering an extensive selection with great flavours across the board. The food was undoubtedly the highlight of the entire experience. The only drawback was the seating area we were assigned. It was noticeably hot with no overhead fans, and despite requesting a cooler multiple times, the request was ignored initially. When a cooler finally arrived, a neighbouring table took it for themselves, which was disappointing. After a long wait, we eventually received a separate cooler, which made the experience more comfortable. In the end, the food truly saved the day, and Nuga Gama delivered on the culinary front even though the service around seating comfort could be improved. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Very nice environment, flavorful food and good service by Jayaweera. The roast pork belly was amazing, good spread of food, salad and desserts. There was continuous entertainment with life music, dance performance and overall a very pleasant environment. Service was wonderful, we were given a complimentary umbra juice that was very refreshing which helped with digestion. Price per person: Rs 7,000–8,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
