New York City Fire Museum is a must to visit after tasty meals at D&D sprout. This place offers good sandwiches and tasty salads. A lot of reviewers have noticed that the dishes have fair prices.
I have been getting lunch here for almost three years now. I enjoy the salad station as well as occasionally a sandwich from the deli section. They have a good assortment of small items, like chips, drinks, some fruit, individual cheese snacks, protein shakes and bar, mixed nuts, etc. Can be quite busy right at noon. Higher quality that it sometimes looks!
I'd been coming here since 2013 as I work up the block; it was always a solid place to get a breakfast sandwich and coffee. They changed owners around 2014 or 2015 and service had slowed, but prices stayed reasonable. Sadly, looks like it's gone for good. Quite a shame, too. There are a lot of businesses in this area, even more coming with Google and Disney's influx, and not many (or any?) places to just grab a bottle of water or sandwich really quickly. Sure, it was just another NY deli, but we can't all eat at Westville everyday.
