Nicely decorated and lovely big beer garden but when I ordered the cheesy chips they were just basic and terrible. My partner had sausages and mash and you could do it better at home. Food just not worth the expense. Out for drinks, not bad. Price per person: £10–20

Big thank you to the chef and staff at the Dolphin in Botley this evening. When we arrived the place was heaving so we were worried we might not have time for our planned meal as we were due to collect our 7 year old from his school disco at Botley primary just over an hour later but when we told the waitress (sorry I didn't get your name) she said there might be a long wait due to it being so busy but she offered to ask the chef with the result our meal appeared shortly after and we were in plenty of time to be at the school when needed. Food was good too! Will be back. Thanks once again
