Tonight I was appalled by the girl who served me, very rude and bad attitude. I asked for a regular latte decaf, for my daughter, she said a vanilla decaf, so corrected her that I wanted no vanilla, just a latte decaf, I checked screen to make sure it was correct and added 2 other drinks. I took to my daughter who lives in building opposite and when she took a sip, it was vanilla flavoured. I took it back in and said I was just in and had gotten a vanilla decaf, instead of latte decaf, she said thats what you ordered, I said no I ordered a latte decaf, but you gave me vanilla, she again told me it was what I ordered and said id have to pay for a new one..i said no because you got the order wrong, and explained how at first she said vanilla, but i corrected it..she tried to tell me a decaf latte was a vanilla drink, thats what I ordered, that she could even get the cctv footage. I told her to do it so she could see i said no vanilla and a decaf latte..i told her a latte is basically a flat white, no vanilla. She argued the point and told her my daughter comes in everyday and gets the same order and I have bought it numerous times before and it never had vanilla in it..she retrieved the receipt, it said decaf latte, she ripped it up and still tried to tell me it comes with vanilla. I told her she shouldn't be treating customers this way and I work in a cafe myself, I know what a latte is, its not vanilla, she was speaking over me arguing and then said well next time you come in you should say order properly, again I said you dont treat customers this way. She remade drink, I thanked her and she said a half hearted "sorry about that", which i think was because manager was now around..After telling my daughter, she went down to make sure it was decaf, said she didnt appreciate her being rude to me and is in everyday, sometimes up to 3 times a day and gets a decaf latte, which doesn't have vanilla. The girl lied outright and said yes I know decaf latte doesn't come with vanilla, its optional and told your mum that.. nice as pie as manager was near her..Even my granddaughter who is 7 said she lied to my daughter. Not only was she rude, she caused the scene infront of another customer waiting and infront of my granddaughter. Never have I had such service, other staff have always been brilliant, except for her.
