A pleasant surprise!! Storehouse Subiaco is an elegant, tucked away venue with breathtaking views, beautiful ambiance and delicious food! We were two couples and enjoyed having great conversation (not too noisy) and had enough space around our table. The service is outstanding with wait staff tending to our table at exactly the right times. Storehouse Subiaco will definitely see us again!! We will however not order dessert again - the black forest cheesecake was unfortunately not to the same standard as the rest of the superb items on the menu.

My family and I booked a table of four, weeks in advance. The reviews were fabulous and the menu looked amazing. Once we got there, the ambience was poor. Not to be judgemental of the detrimental effect Covid has had, we looked at a more quiet atmosphere than expected as a positive. There were two staff on the floor, a man who was mostly behind the bar but serving dishes when required and a woman in a nicer uniform. We ordered the octopus, the cauliflower, and the hummus dishes as starters. The octopus was rubbery and overcooked, the hummus was fine, and the cauliflower was excellent. For mains we ordered the chicken, the pork fillet, the striploin, and the pumpkin risotto, with the duck fat potatoes and honey roasted carrots as sides. Considering we were one of about three tables in the entire restaurant it took a very long time to be served. Further, we received everything except the duck fat potatoes and pork fillet dishes which took 10 minutes longer to arrive. When I asked if the two dishes were coming (to make sure they had not forgotten them and get some idea of how long it would take) the male waiter said "I hope so." This is not a reassuring response to a guest. We did not receive any updates on how much longer it would take until the dishes came out, again individually with a few minutes in between and no updates. When the first dishes arrived, it was immediately apparent (one guest being a chef in a restaurant) that the dishes had been reheated. The food was all overcooked and dry. When the duck fat potatoes and pork fillet came, the potatoes were nothing more than potatoes you could find frozen in a bag and were not crispy like a duck fat potato should be, and the pork fillet was dry. The flavour in the dishes is great, however the flavour can't make up for the awful cooking of the food and extremely lacking service. We will not be going back
