Papadom are given free. I think being indian restaurant vegeterian options are very less. Due to this we avoid our office parties. Being asked to provide original authentic indian taste they don't deliver authentic indian spicy taste. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: €20–30 Vegetarian options: Very less vegetarian options. Parking space: Difficult to find parking Parking options: Paid street parking Parking: Little blant food compared to authentic indian Kid-friendliness: Yes

Hi Gaurav,Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear that our menu didn’t meet your expectations, and we’d like to address a few points directly.Vegetarian options: We currently offer 21 vegetarian dishes across our menu, including appetisers, mains, breads, and rice. If you found the selection limited, we’d welcome the chance to walk you through it on your next visit — several of our most popular items are vegetarian.Spice levels: Our kitchen prepares food to suit a broad range of palates, but authentic, spicier heat is absolutely available on request. Please just let your server know that you prefer your dishes “spiced up” or at a traditional heat level, and we’ll adjust accordingly.Papadoms: These are served complimentary as standard, though we’re glad you enjoyed them. We’d genuinely appreciate the opportunity to host your office party and show you what our full vegetarian range and traditional spicing can offer. Please feel free to contact us directly book@ doolally.ie— we’re happy to pre-plan a menu tailored to your team’s preferences.Warm regards,Veer

Stylish on the Surface, but Lacking Soul Doolally feels like a restaurant still trying to figure out what it wants to be. There is clearly a lot of effort behind the concept and presentation, but the end result feels like a collection of ideas rather than a restaurant with a confident identity of its own. The menu is surprisingly basic and, for a place that appears to position itself around Indian cuisine, remarkably short on a distinct Indian character. I’m a strict vegetarian, but seeing something like a Duck Cigar Roll on the menu rather summed it up for me: the restaurant seems more interested in trying to appeal to everybody than in presenting a clear, authentic culinary point of view. The food itself was okay at best. Nothing was disastrously wrong, but nothing was remotely memorable either. At this price and positioning, competence alone isn’t much of a compliment. Service followed much the same pattern. The staff were polite in a functional sense, but the experience felt mechanical and strangely joyless. There is a difference between being trained to serve a table and actually making guests feel welcome, and unfortunately we felt that difference here. The biggest disappointment was the atmosphere. Considerable money and thought have clearly gone into the décor, yet somehow the place has very little warmth, personality or soul. It looks the part without ever making you feel anything. One final point, and unfortunately an important one: our experience left us distinctly uncomfortable about whether every guest receives the same warmth and courtesy. As Indian guests, we did not feel equally welcomed, and the difference in attitude that we perceived was difficult to ignore. I subsequently read reviews from other Indian guests describing similar experiences, which made our own experience considerably harder to dismiss as an isolated impression. I cannot speak to anybody’s motives, and I won’t pretend to know what was in anyone’s mind. I can only describe how the experience came across to us. A hospitality business should make every guest feel equally welcome and respected, irrespective of nationality, ethnicity or skin colour. Beautiful interiors can be designed. Genuine hospitality cannot be faked. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Price per person: €20–30 Vegetarian options: Extremely limited, specially for an Indian restaurant. Also, simple, off the menu requests, perfectly plausible without any effort for a full fledged restaurant, were turned down. Kid-friendliness: Not really.
