A Magical Location by the Lake – Perfect for a Special Experience We had a really lovely experience at Hanul Poiana Râșnoavei, especially because of its beautiful location and the wonderful lake right next to the property. What We Loved The lake is absolutely beautiful, with lots of fish in it, and this became one of our favourite parts of the stay. The owner was kind enough to lend us a fishing rod, so we could try catching some fish ourselves. There was only one very important rule: whatever we caught had to go straight back into the water! And honestly, we loved that rule. We had so much fun fishing, catching and releasing the fish, and it made the experience even more special. The whole area around the lake is peaceful and beautiful, and it is definitely the kind of place where you can slow down and enjoy nature. We also had the opportunity to attend a wedding celebration here, in the gazebo right on the lake, and I have to say — it was magical. Having a wedding surrounded by water, greenery and nature created a truly special atmosphere. I can absolutely understand why someone would choose this location for an event. The staff were also very nice, friendly and helpful, and we really appreciated their hospitality. And, of course, the food was great! ️ The location has a strong connection with fishing and traditional cuisine, and the restaurant is one of the property's highlights. Other visitors also frequently mention the food and the beautiful natural setting, particularly the lake and fish. ️ What Could Be Improved There are a few things that I think could make the experience even better. The biggest issue for us was the noise from the main road. The property is very close to DN73A, and unfortunately there is quite a lot of car traffic, both during the day and at night. The building itself also feels quite old in some areas. It has clearly been renovated and improved over the years, but I think there is still room for some additional investment and modernisation. Another area that could be improved is the parking. A more clearly organised and proper parking area would make things much easier for guests, especially when the property is busy or hosting events. Overall Despite these points, we really enjoyed our time here. For us, the lake, the nature, the fishing experience, the food and especially the magical wedding setting made Hanul Poiana Râșnoavei memorable. Sometimes a place doesn't need to be the newest or most modern to offer a great experience. What really stays with you is the atmosphere — and this place definitely has one. Thank you to the entire team for the hospitality and for the wonderful memories!
