The search for a bakery with a twist was my mission. After visiting many bakeries in Riyadh, I found solace and good vibes in Dough Layers. I arrived at 4 pm, and my instincts took over, and I knew this was going to be a special evening... I met the baker, had a quick chat, got introduced to some handmade croissants (Classic Crescent, Modern Triangles), and come in a variety of shapes and sizes. There is also a mega croissant (you need to order a day in advance, with your choice of filling)...so cool! The bakery ambiance is welcoming and cozy, with both outdoor and indoor seating. The staff are friendly and eager to serve. I was served with a couple of cold beverages iced karkade (so refreshing...especially to beat the summer heat!) Iced matcha tea (topped with creamy foam and a mini croissant ... nice twist!) I was tempted to go for a hot beverage (coffee was on my mind) since it was evening... black tea was what I got served, with a Granola square ... great combination!
