This place is operated by CCSF staff and students and they are amazing people. Pastries are good (their danish is my fav). Coffee is ok.

This restaurant doesn't open all the time, especially during summer and winter breaks, for good reason. It is staffed by students at the CCSF, and the prices reflect as such -- they are a bit lower due to the fact that the students are still in training. The menu is also on the small size -- there are usually a soup and salads, a few sandwiches, an entree, and some desserts to choose from. However, don't let these deter you. The service is lovely here, even though it's clear the waitstaff is still in training (they are trying their best!). I also find the food's quality quite good, comparable to a lunch spot in the city, and again, you get full service! If you do work in these parts of the town, consider paying this place a visit while school is in session, if only to help the students!

I love their fall buffet! It's only $30 (tax included) and you get unlimited delicious food. Save room for dessert- there is an entire separate room filled with sweet heaven. All of the desserts are lovingly made and beautifully presented. More delicious and professional looking than many of the ones at restaurants and bakeries. There were more than we could try, but the winner of the day was the marzipan bar. A teeny tiny version of a princess cake. I ate 3!
