We were recommended this restaurant because of its excellent service and great food, and it definitely lived up to our expectations. The restaurant is located with lovely views over the water. We chose seafood throughout the meal, starting with the mussels, fried squid, and shrimp saganaki, followed by grilled sea bream and grilled sea bass for our main courses. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be the sea bass, which was especially juicy and delicious. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and professional. A nice touch was that they offered to fillet the fish for us and served it beautifully arranged on the plate. The dessert was fairly average, but both the starters and the main courses were excellent. We’d be happy to come back again. Price per person: €50+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great service, amazing food, spectacular view. What else could you ask for? We’ve had some mediocre meals here in Rethymno, so we were a little worried. Exactly the opposite here. Low pressure, not trying to upsell you, and very kind staff. We weren’t that hungry so we only ordered the grilled vegetables (delicious!), and the pork souvlaki (tender, flavourful, and juicy). The portion sizes are generous, so we had more than enough food. They even gave us some ouzo and a nice, light dessert, on the house! A fantastic meal! A very pleasant experience, and a restaurant I would happily return to! If you want a memorable meal, you should come here. I’m confident you won’t be disappointed. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Our favourite place in Crete! Located in Rethymno at the base of the Fortezza, we found En Plo on a super hot day while exploring the old town. We ordered two ice-cold local Mamos beers and enjoyed the sea-breeze, the stunning views, and the friendly service. We were warmly welcomed and had a wonderful few hours. We were based out of town in Sfakaki, but loved En Plo so much that we visited every few days, either for a few beers or for a delicious lunch or dinner. The Pork Tomahawk steak was utterly delicious, as were the mussels, the Greek salad and everything else we ordered across our visits. The wonderful En Plo team treated us like old friends, always friendly and attentive but without being overly so. We can't thank them enough, and would 100% recommend En Plo for a visit when you're next in Crete. We will return again. NB! We loved it that much, we've managed to locate a supplier of Mamos in the UK and are enjoying recreating our dinners in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire - albeit without the sea view! Service: Dine in
