It’s really easy to feel overwhelmed with the number of restaurants in and around the town and harbour but this was our best meal of a 10 night stay in Crete. We arrived at about 9pm and obviously all the best tables were taken but we really wanted to sit by the sea so we sat at the side with a bottle of wine and said we’d wait. With every restaurant offering a similar menu you we definitely liked the looked of their seafood. To start we had fried courgettes and taramasalata, really great choice. For our mains we had grilled prawns and the seafood linguine. 6 big prawn served with a really good salad. My other half couldn’t stop saying how tasty his linguine was with prawns, octopus, muscles etc. The portions were generous and beat us. Lovely touch with a homemade cake and raki as gesture. Staff were very personable and fast especially with how busy they were. If you want really good food at a fantastic price don’t hesitate. We had an amazing lunch at Fanari! We sat right by the sea, and even though it was a really hot day, the breeze kept us nice and cool. The grilled octopus was our favorite dish, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. We’d definitely come back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had so many plates of food I worked for 50 years in the industry in Canada the food here is number one very well done and healthy.
