We had a wonderful experience at Fanari and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rethymno. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared. We were also pleasantly surprised with a lovely dessert on the house, which was the perfect way to finish the meal. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The owner himself took our order and was genuinely warm and attentive, which made the experience feel even more personal. You can truly tell when a place is a family business where the owners genuinely care about their guests and take pride in what they do. The location is simply beautiful, right by the sea, with an amazing view and the sound of the waves in the background. It creates such a relaxing and authentic atmosphere. We enjoyed it so much that during our holiday in Crete, we came back twice to eat at Fanari. Everything — the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the location — was simply wonderful. A lovely family-run restaurant by the sea and definitely one of the places we will remember from our trip to Crete. Highly recommended! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Fantastic restaurant in Rethymno. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. We came back here twice for lunch on our stay in the area. The view out across the sea from the restaurant is beautiful. Would definitely recommend grabbing a table here Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–15 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had so many plates of food I worked for 50 years in the industry in Canada the food here is number one very well done and healthy.
