I visited Erotokritos Seaside Restaurant three times during my week in Rethymno, and that alone says a lot about how much I enjoyed this place. First of all, I would like to highlight the beautiful interior design. The color palette is thoughtfully chosen and creates a warm, elegant atmosphere. The location is also fantastic. Since the restaurant is situated in the Old Town, there is a steady flow of people walking nearby, especially if you sit on the terrace. While this might feel a bit busy for some guests, choosing a table closer to the building makes the experience much more comfortable. As for the food, the seafood here is simply outstanding. During my visits, I tried the mussels, shrimp pasta, grilled seafood platter, grilled octopus, and bread with herbs served with olive dip. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The mussels deserve a special mention, they were absolutely incredible and among the best I have ever tasted. I would also highly recommend the Chardonnay Athena white wine, which paired beautifully with the seafood and was excellent. Another reason this restaurant stands out is the service. A special thank you to Grigoris, who took care of us during all of our visits. He is an incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuine person. His hospitality and friendly conversations made us feel truly at home. The service was consistently attentive, professional, and heartfelt. Erotokritos Seaside Restaurant offers delicious food, a wonderful atmosphere, and exceptional people. I left extremely satisfied and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Rethymno. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €30–35
