Gorgeous patio, excelent food (although pricy for SA standards) and very accommodating and professional staff. Overall an amazing experience. The fish curry is hearty with just the right amount of spice and the catch of the day was tuna seared to perfection. Amazing food and the service was just as amazing. The owner personally served us and made us feel so welcome. It just made the experience of visiting this restaurant absolutely worth while. All meals were delicious. We ordered the plank steak which was cooked to perfection and the steak sandwich is one of the best we have eaten. We also couldn't resist trying their Parmesan chilli kingklip and it did not disappoint. We had such a lovely time. Will definitely be back when we visit George again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I went to Fat Fish expecting to have seafood, as that is what they are known for. Our excellent waiter Reece told us about the new owner Mike Said, who is a steak guy apparently. It's been literally decades since I had a good steak so I had nothing to lose.
Well was that a great choice! Mike cooked my steak himself, perfectly rare, amazingly tender and with 2 sauces that were amazing!
Let me tell you the man knows his stuff and if you, like me, are getting despondent about the poor quality of steak in George, fear not. The Fat Fish is your go to place.
What a lovely, generous man too! We chatted for a while and this is clearly his passion. Great job there Mike and Reece, best restaurant experience my wife and I have had for a very long time!
