THE BEST BRUNCH EXPERIENCE — Exceptional Service, Hospitality & Kindness! Our birthday brunch at First Watch Decatur was absolutely phenomenal — truly one of the best restaurant experiences we’ve had! From the moment we arrived, Jeffrey welcomed us with incredible warmth and somehow got our group seated almost immediately without a reservation, which was such a wonderful start to our celebration. Then came Isabel, who was an absolute gem. She made us feel less like restaurant customers and more like guests in her home. She was extraordinarily patient while each of the teenagers decided, changed their minds, and decided again what they wanted for brunch — and she extended that same kindness to me while I took forever choosing my own meal. Isabel even graciously helped modify the menu so I could have something that was both delicious and full of flavor. That level of personalized service, patience, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality is rare. But the moment that completely touched our hearts was when the team surprised my daughter with a beautifully decorated stack of pancakes, a lit birthday candle, AND a birthday card — without me ever asking them to do anything special. That was pure kindness. Pure thoughtfulness. Pure hospitality. A huge thank you to Gigi, the manager, for cultivating a restaurant culture where warmth, generosity, excellent customer service, and genuine human connection are clearly part of the standard. You can tell when a team is simply doing their jobs, and you can tell when people genuinely care. First Watch Decatur gave us a true home-away-from-home experience.
