I so want to still like this place. I used to visit when the previous chef was there and they had an exceptional restaurant (be aware, a lot of the 5* fine dining reviews are from that time and not what they offer now). Since that chef left, they've switched to an all day/tea menu (eggs benedict, chicken and waffles, club sandwich etc). No issue with a simpler menu itself (can't be easy to get good chefs in Rye) but delivery is just sloppy. I asked if they had freshly squuezed orange juice, they say yes, and then bring carton. The fruit smoothies come from (powdered?) pre-mix, coffee is burnt, muffin with the eggs was dry, mushrooms on the fry up were hard and burnt, potatoes tasted stale (like they were using old oil), and service - whilst polite - was sooo increadibly slow. It really wouldn't take much to polish up, but they need to take on a decent restaurant manager to pull their socks up. Disappointing, as it's a lovely venue in a great location. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Brunch Price per person: £20–30 Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking Wheelchair accessibility: There are tables near the front door (which i think are wide enough for wheelchair access), however, restaurant is off a stretch of cobbled street (cir. 20m to the flat tarmac).

We had a lovely Brunch at Fletchers House! It is a very nice old building. The staff were very friendly and attentive. There is a good selection of food and drinks! Definitely worth a visit if in Rye! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: £20–30
