We love this place - really delightful service, excellent vegan fare and loads of fabulous games to play. Rye is a glorious place to visit and this is situated on one of its very beautiful streets. I thoroughly recommend a visit. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Menu is all vegetarian Vegetarian options: Amazing potato and coconut soup - I don’t know how they gave it so much awesome flavour

Friendly and welcoming cafe in a beautiful old building with great coffee, books and board games as well as a full programme of yoga and t’ai chi and Italian classes (amongst other things) which tempted me to sell up and move down!! (If only!) As it was raining, the kind owner allowed us to leave our folded-up Brompton in the back room while we looked round the town. Highly recommended!! I love Grounded; the food is great, the atmosphere is second to none. There are many activities including yoga, book club, chess club, poetry, vinyl club all on comfortable chairs around a cosy log burner. The staff are so friendly! You could go on your own and stay all day. And you could be sure someone would talk to you! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
