Franchino is pretty near The National Shrine of Saint Francis of Assisi. Italian dishes are on the menu at this restaurant. Franchino offers you good pappardelle, gnocchi and meat lasagna. Nicely cooked tiramisu, chocolate cannoli and ice cream have an appetizing taste. It's time to degustate delicious marsala, chianti or limoncello. Great chocolate frappe, cappuccino or espresso are waiting for you at this place.
This spot is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. From the guests' point of view, prices are adequate. You will certainly like the exotic atmosphere and beautiful decor. On Trip, clients note that this restaurant deserves the 4.5 star rating.

I was really blown away with my experience in this restaurant yesterday. A very well-deserved for a five-star rating and my highest recommendations. A very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended to everyone I know.

Dined at Franchino back in December with a group of 7 and had a wonderful experience but if I am being honest, not the most amazing Italian food I have had. The restaurant does not catch your eye upon first glance due to the small home-style front entrance and limited capacity but don't be fooled -- this place is tucked away as a hidden wonder! After putting our name down, we were told the wait would be around an hour. Lucky for us, this restaurant is right in the heart of North Beach with plenty of wonderful restaurants/bars/dessert joints, so we headed over to a bar nearby to enjoy a couple drinks. Shortly after, we received a text that our table could be ready in as little as 15 minutes if we could get back to the restaurant, so we all drank up and headed back over to Franchino! This restaurant is family-owned and the wait staff is extremely friendly. We ordered many entrees including chicken fettucchine, red sauce tortellini, mushroom risotto, and lobster ravioli. Personally, having been all over Italy for vacation, I know what amazing pasta tastes like. While I enjoyed the dining experience, I know that I have had better pastas in my life and wasn't blown away by the flavor. I do appreciate the family owned home feel but may opt for trying a new place next time I am in North Beach for dinner!
