Nordic cuisine at its best. This restaurant is our personal discovery of the summer. We loved every dish we had, and the dessert – white chocolate with strawberry sorbet, green strawberries, and verveina oil – was simply out of this world. I ate 7 toast skagen during this trip across Europe and Frisk Fisk in Zurich served the best one. The skagen was everything it should be. Fresh, generous, well balanced and finished properly. The kind you think about on the flight home. Even more remarkable that the best version I found was outside Sweden where it originates. Zurich apparently does not care about borders when it comes to doing things well. The skate with shellfish cream was absolutely gorgeous. Delicate, rich and exactly the kind of dish that makes you slow down and pay attention. Price point is not shy. You will feel it when the bill arrives but the quality justifies it without much argument. It’s an easy 5 star that is worth every Swiss Franc. Vielen Dank für diese grossartige Rückmeldung.Dass unser Toast Skagen sich gegen sechs europäische Konkurrenten durchsetzen konnte, erfüllt uns natürlich mit einer gewissen nordischen Genugtuung. Besonders, wenn das Urteil von jemandem kommt, der offenbar Feldforschung betrieben hat.Auch Ihr Lob zur Küche freut uns sehr. Gerichte, die einen kurz innehalten lassen, gehören zu unseren Lieblingsgerichten.Und was die Preise betrifft: Zürich macht es uns nicht immer leicht. Umso schöner, wenn am Ende das Gefühl bleibt, dass jeder Franken gut investiert war.Wir wünschen einen guten Heimflug und hoffen, dass der Toast Skagen noch eine Weile nachwirkt. Bis bald.
